Valencia High School Marching Band and Colorguard - Valencia, CA
Summer 2019 & Summer 2021After participating in my high school's marching program for four years, I went back after I graduated during their band camp and worked as a visual technician and brass coach. I assisted in teaching the students the proper marching technique, how to hold their horns, how to play their instruments while moving, and how to carry out general visual responsibilities. I also assisted in choreographing visuals and problem solving drill sets that may have had issues with students running into each other. As a brass coach, I spent time working with high brass players on their music off the field in ways that would allow them to gain a better understanding of the pitch, intonation and tuning, dynamics, and rhythm to perform it better on the field.
